Northfleet Big Local is a group of residents, supported by socially minded organisations, who are trying to make Northfleet North into the kind of place you want to live, and somewhere we can all be proud of.
Big Local is an ambitious resident led programme which aims to achieve four key outcomes:
- communities will be better able to identify local needs and take action in response to them
- people will have increased skills and confidence so that they continue to identify and respond to needs in the future
- the community will make a difference to the needs it prioritises
- people will feel that their area is an even better place to live.
The Northfleet Big Local area stretches from The Leather Bottle pub, all the way to Ebbsfleet Football ground (and everything in-between). If you live, work or volunteer in the area we want to hear from you. “Big Local” is all about helping each other – it’s about bringing together all the local talent, ambitions, skills and energy from individuals, groups and organisations to make a lasting and sustainable change to our area.
We are entering our sixth year of our ten year programme and we have achieved a lot already but we really need to make the next four years count. Northfleet still has many challenges that we can address together. It’s really important that you have your voice heard, and that you have a say in the direction Northfleet Big Local should take.
To help decide what we do in the future, and help make real progress, local people need to be involved – you need to be involved. Big Local is made up of your neighbours; of local people just like you, who want to make a difference.
